In this story:
The past few games still haven't been fortunate for the Brooklyn Nets, which makes their current league position a woeful one.
In The Athletic's latest Power Ranking report, the Nets have landed at the 23rd spot, taking a one-step downslide from the previous leaderboard.

Trade deadline moves’ impacts: TBD
According to The Athletic's Zach Harper, while the Nets have made significant trade deadline moves, it is yet to be seen if these roster modifications will serve them well heading to the remaining portion of the season.
Brooklyn notably dealt Spencer Dinwiddie to the Toronto Raptors for both Dennis Schroder and Thad Young. In a separate transaction, they landed Keita Bates-Diop, Jordan Goodwin, and three second-round picks in a three-team deal with both the Memphis Grizzlies and Phoenix Suns, which meanwhile saw the exit of Royce O'Neale.
Only Schroder and Bates-Diop have remained in the team's 15-man roster.
“Did the trade deadline serve them well? It did. Nothing major here for the Nets, as they’re still trying to figure out if they can make the Play-In Tournament. Dennis Schröder and Thad Young for Spencer Dinwiddie was a smart value play, even with waiving Young. Schröder will be a steadier hand in the backcourt. Sending Royce O’Neale out for second-round picks and Keita Bates-Diop is good enough value. Let’s see if they can get some continuity on the court as this team gets healthy.”
Optimistic of what lies ahead
Sitting at the Tier 5 slate (Looking to make the Play-In Tournament) and now holding a 21-32 record (2.5 games behind the final Play-In spot), the urgency is truly off the charts for the Nets to perform at their best moving forward.
Despite the pressure and uncertainty that they are facing, Brooklyn still has plenty of reasons to be positive about their intentions for a late-season surge. They are finally getting healthy, and Schroder can be a solid difference-maker as he continues his blending with the rest of the core.
