In this story:
The Philadelphia 76ers defeated the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday night behind a monster performance from Joel Embiid. Finishing with 40 points, 10 assists, and 7 rebounds, Embiid was incredible vs. Denver, going toe to toe with reigning Finals MVP Nikola Jokic.
When asked about Jokic after the game, Embiid said, "I just told him he’s the best player in the league… He won a championship, that’s the best team in the league, and he’s the Finals MVP. I just told him keep going, see you in 2 weeks."

This was really cool to hear from Embiid, who clearly has the ultimate respect for Jokic. Arguably the two best players in the NBA right now, Jokic and Embiid gave fans a show on Tuesday night. While Embiid and the 76ers got the better of Jokic and the Nuggets, Jokic still finished with a very impressive 25 points and 19 rebounds.
This big man battle is one of the best the NBA has had in a long time, as it always delivers each time Jokic and Embiid face off. Embiid and the 76ers took this one, and the Nuggets will look to bounce back the next time they see this team.
Two of the best teams in basketball, the Nuggets and 76ers both have championship aspirations, and perhaps could see each other in the NBA Finals.
