Actor and comedian Will Ferrell attends Indiana Pacers game vs Philadelphia 76ers

Ferrell even took some jump shots on the court before the game

World famous actor Will Ferrell attended the Indiana Pacers battle with the Philadelphia 76ers in Indianapolis on Monday night.

The 55-year old is currently filming a project that is taking him across the United States, and that led him to the Hoosier State on Monday. He sat courtside for the entire game near the Pacers bench.

Before the game, Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle was asked about slowing down 76ers superstar center Joel Embiid and he joked, "Well, Will Ferrell is going to be here tonight. He's going to be sitting near our bench. I'm hoping he can help us with Joel Embiid." Embiid finished with 42 points.

Before the game, the Pacers posted a video on social media of Ferrell trying to get various players to take a drink of beer. Just prior to tip-off, the actor did Indiana's pregame tradition of "revving up" a car engine to get the crowd excited before the action.

Also in attendance on Monday night was rapper 50 Cent. His wine and spirits company, Sire Spirits, has a partnership with the franchise. 50 Cent was in Sacramento for a duel between the Pacers and Sacramento Kings earlier this season.

Ferrell, who played basketball while starring as Jackie Moon for the Flint Tropics in "Semi-Pro" even got some shots up before the game on the court. He later made a three pointer that got a big cheer from the crowd.

The actor was seen in the surrounding cities the night before the game. He took a picture with the Pacers coaching staff before the night was over.

The 76ers beat the Pacers 147-143. Indiana next plays on Thursday when they host the Houston Rockets.
