The Indiana Pacers will be taking on the Miami Heat later today as they look to make it two wins in a row. However, the Pacers could be facing this Heat team without their star player, center Bam Adebayo.

Adebayo has landed on the injury report ahead of the game and has been listed as questionable for the contest. The All-Star center is the centerpiece of what Miami does so if he has to miss this contest, it would change the entire game.

For the season, the Miami center has averaged 16.9 points, 10 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 1.2 steals, and 0.7 blocks per game. Adebayo is the main piece for the Heat now after the team traded away star Jimmy Butler a few weeks ago.

The veteran changes everything for this team on both ends of the floor so the Pacers will need to be careful if he can play. Indiana will counter Adebayo with Myles Turner, creating one of the better center matchups that the NBA has to offer nowadays.

Turner has been great for Indiana this season and has made this team much more formidable throughout the season. The Pacers are a very different team when Turner suits up and it's shown in how they play on both ends.

The Pacers have gone 6-4 over their past 10 games overall and they've been playing very strong basketball. Indiana currently sits in fourth place within the Eastern Conference standings and they will try to keep it that way against the Heat.

The team has a record of 33-24 for the year and they are just 0.5 games ahead of the fifth-seeded Milwaukee Bucks in the standings. With the Bucks off today, a loss by Indiana would send them into a tie with Milwaukee for the fourth seed.

Miami is sitting in the eighth seed, sitting six games back of the Pacers in the standings. This game is crucial to both sides so both teams will likely be coming out with a ton of energy for it.

We should know closer to the start of the game whether the Heat will have their star center on the floor against Indiana.
