Indiana Pacers game preview: Pacers travel North looking for season sweep of Toronto Raptors

The Indiana Pacers are in Toronto for the only time this season tonight to take on the Raptors. The Pacers have already beaten the Raptors twice this season, though both games were in Indianapolis.

Indiana and Toronto are both 5-5 in their last 10 games. Both teams are chasing a spot in the play-in tournament, and a win tonight would benefit both groups and their spot in the standings.

Pacers vs Raptors Injury Report

For the Pacers, wing Kendall Brown (right tibia stress fracture) is out. Chris Duarte (left ankle soreness) and Tyrese Haliburton (right ankle sprain) are questionable. Guard Trevelin Queen is questionable as a part of his two-way contract.

For the Raptors, Scottie Barnes is questionable. Dalano Banton and Otto Porter Jr are out.

Key Matchups

Aaron Nesmith vs Pascal Siakam: Seemingly every night, Aaron Nesmith is defending an opposing team's star forward. Tonight, the Pacers wing will be tasked with slowing Raptors All-Star Pascal Siakam.

Siakam is averaging over 24 points per game this season and is deadly with the ball in his hands. Staying in front of him is extremely difficult, and his defense is solid. Nesmith will have to stay engaged at all times when he is on the court.

Myles Turner vs Jakob Poeltl: Two terrific defensive centers will battle tonight as Myles Turner and Jakob Poeltl duel in the frontcourt. The Raptors are 9-7 since acquiring Poeltl at the trade deadline.

Turner is a more well rounded offensive player, and that will be key tonight. If he can make Poeltl make decisions on defense while also slowing down Toronto pick-and-rolls, his night will seem solid. If he gets slowed by the Raptors' Austrian big man, it could be a long evening for Indiana.
