Indiana Pacers vs Houston Rockets preview: Start time, where to watch, injury report, betting odds February 6

The Pacers host the Rockets tonight

The Indiana Pacers host the Houston Rockets tonight in their final game prior to the 2024 NBA Trade Deadline. The Pacers beat the Rockets just after Christmas in their first game with a new-look starting five.

In that win, star guard Tyrese Haliburton was fantastic. Right now, though, he's on a minutes restriction that Indiana has to work around every night. Both the Pacers and the Rockets are 4-6 in their last 10 games and will look to get back on track somewhat tonight in Indianapolis.

Pacers vs Hornets Injury Report

The Pacers listed Tyrese Haliburton (hamstring injury management and back spasms) and Jalen Smith (back spasms) as questionable. Isaiah Wong, Oscar Tshiebwe, and Kendall Brown are all questionable due to their status on two-way contracts.

For the Rockets, Steven Adams, Tari Eason, Fred VanVleet, and Nate Williams are out.

Key Matchup

Andrew Nembhard vs Jalen Green: With VanVleet out for Houston, Green becomes more important to their operation. His ball handling will be key. The third-year guard hasn't lived up to expectations this season and has down numbers in both scoring and efficiency, but he is capable of going off on any night.

Nembhard, who played an awesome defensive game Sunday night, will try to slow him down. The second-year Pacers guard entered the starting lineup primarily to defend in the backcourt, but he can provide some offensive punch at his best. Indiana will hope he is excellent on both ends tonight.
