Indiana Pacers vs Philadelphia 76ers preview: Start time, where to watch, injury report, betting odds January 25

The Pacers host the 76ers tonight

The Indiana Pacers continue their difficult homestand on Thursday night as they host Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers. The Pacers hosted the defending champion Nuggets on Tuesday and now have to deal with Embiid, who scored 70 points in one game on Monday.

The Pacers have lost three games in a row while Philly has won six straight. "I haven't watched that game and I'm trying to avoid it," Pacers head coach Carlisle joked of Embiid's 70 point game. He gushed about how skilled some of the NBA's big men are. Indiana is 1-1 against the 76ers this season.

Pacers vs 76ers Injury Report

The Pacers listed center Jalen Smith (lower back spasms) as questionable. Guard Tyrese Haliburton (hamstring injury management) is out. Oscar Tshiebwe, Isaiah Wong, and Kendall Brown are questionable due to their status on two-way deals.

The 76ers listed Mo Bamba, Robert Covington, Kenneth Lofton Jr, and De'Anthony Melton as out. Marcus Morris Sr and Jaden Springer are probable. Tobias Harris is questionable.

Key Matchup

Andrew Nembhard vs Tyrese Maxey: When Philadelphia beat Indiana earlier this season, Maxey scored a career-high 50 points in his best-ever game. Soon after, the Pacers held him to 27 points on 9/23 shooting, and the blue and gold won that night.

Nembhard will need to slow down Maxey to give the Pacers a chance to win tonight. On top of that, he will have to execute his floor general duties as a key point guard with Haliburton out.
