Pistons Make A Move Ahead Of Trade Deadline

The trade deadline is upon us and Detroit is one of the more intriguing teams as 3 pm approaches.

Per several reputable sources, the Pistons have acquired Marvin Bagley III from the Sacramento Kings in a four-team trade. Bagley will come to Detroit as Josh Jackson and Trey Lyles head to Sacramento. The Pistons also dealt two second-round picks. The entire trade is as follows:

Sacramento Kings: Donte DiVincenzo, Trey Lyles and Josh Jackson
Milwaukee Bucks: Serge Ibaka, two future second-round picks and cash
Los Angeles Clippers: Rodney Hood and Semi Ojele
DETROIT PISTONS: Marvin Bagley III

For the Pistons, Bagley could be interesting. Despite this being his fourth year in the league he's still just 22 years old. At 6-11, 235, he's bigger than Lyles and more versatile. In four years with the Kings, Bagley averages 13.5 points and 7.4 rebounds per game. He's also good for about a block per contest and has shot as well as 35% from three-point range while in Sactown.

He's been in a bit of a funk this year as a non-starter but still played around 22 minutes per game. Bagley has been out of the lineup for a while with a bum ankle but also because of his uncertain future with the franchise. Now that he's a Piston, it'll be interesting to see where he fits into the lineup. Is he a starter or does he assume the same role Trey Lyles had?
