Per Detroit Pistons head coach Dwane Casey, rookie Cade Cunningham has been downgraded to 'out' ahead of tonight's game against Minnesota. Casey, along with anyone else who's ever watched Cunningham play, is extremely high on the rook and knows that he'll be missed in tonight's game.

"He's a facilitator; very multi-positional," Casey said during pregame availability. "Not as a true point guard but has the skills to do it, and that's what makes him so effective. He can play the two, he can play the one. We can't get too caught up in primary, secondary."

Cunningham left the game late in the third quarter against the Pelicans on Tuesday night after dinging his right hip. Earlier today Cunningham was listed as questionable, but he's now a scratch.

Expect Hamidou Diallo to step back into the starting lineup as he's shown that he can handle the minutes and contribute at a pretty high level. He filled in nicely while Jerami Grant was out recovering from a thumb injury. With Grant back in the lineup, Diallo returned to the bench. With Cunningham now out for at least a game, Diallo should be plenty comfortable in the starting five.
