After a couple months of questioning if Marvin Bagley III will be extending his stay in Detroit, we have our answer. Per Chris Haynes, the Pistons are resigning the restricted free agent to a three-year, $37.5 million deal.

Bagley first joined the Pistons at the trade deadline when Troy Weaver gave up two second-round picks, Josh Jackson and Trey Lyles to acquire the former second overall pick. The 6-11 big man immediately became a consistent member of the Pistons rotation. He spent his first few games in Detroit coming off the bench, but worked his way into the starting lineup for 8 of the 18 games he played representing the 313. In those 18 games, the Duke alum averaged 14.6 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and 27.2 minutes per game.

Bagley is now officially a continual part of a front court consisting of youngsters Isaiah Stewart and rookie Jalen Duren, along with veterans Kelly Olynyk and newly-acquired Nerlens Noel.
