Heat's LeBron James maintains top spot on list of NBA's best-selling jerseys
MVP or not, LeBron James continues to reign atop the NBA's best-selling jerseys list.
The Heat forward's No. 6 jersey is the league's No. 1 most popular jersey, based on NBAStore.com sales during the 2013-14 season. James also occupied the top spot on the list before the season began back in October.
This year saw a proliferation of jersey designs, including nickname jerseys and short-sleeved jerseys designed by Adidas. James wore "King James" on his back for multiple games, as part of the inaugural nickname jersey program. He also wore sleeved jerseys on Christmas, during 2014 All-Star Weekend and during the NBA's "Latin Nights" series of games in March, even though he expressed some displeasure with how the sleeves fit.
Miami also led the NBA when it came to team merchandise sales. The Lakers, Bulls, Thunder and Knicks rounded out the top five.
The full lists for individual jersey sales and team-wide merchandise sales are below.
