Spurs 'Ridiculous' Trade: Victor Wembanyama for MVP Joel Embiid?

In this story:
The San Antonio Spurs are counting down the days until they can officially make Victor Wembanyama the No. 1 pick in this year's NBA Draft.
Whichever team landed the top pick was never going to trade away the chance to be the launchpad for Wembanyama's career. Yet, Bleacher Report is trying to do exactly that.
In a trade in which even the publication calls "ridiculous," Wembanyama ends up with the Philadelphia 76ers in a four-team deal of epic proportions.
Here's a look at the trade ...
San Antonio Spurs receive:
Joel Embiid (wild, I know), Bradley Beal and a 2025 second-round pick from the Houston Rockets
Philadelphia 76ers receive:
No. 1 pick in 2023 (Wembanyama, of course), Keldon Johnson and Doug McDermott (largely salary filler), Jalen Green, a 2025 first-round pick from the Rockets (via Oklahoma City or Boston) and a 2026 second-round pick from the Washington Wizards
Washington Wizards receive:
Tobias Harris, Devonte' Graham, Zach Collins, Daishen Nix and a 2025 first-round pick from the San Antonio Spurs
Houston Rockets receive:
James Harden, Khem Birch and Johnny Davis
So, to recap, the Spurs would give up Wembanyama, Keldon Johnson, Doug McDermott, Devonte' Graham, Zach Collins and Khem Birch for the league's MVP in Joel Embiid, a former star in Bradley Beal and a measly second-round pick.
Even though the MVP would be nice to have, the Spurs will pass on him for the chance to have Wembanyama ... someone who could smash Embiid's ceiling.
