There's no such thing as an "easy" schedule in the NBA, although a few metrics suggest the Phoenix Suns may have it just a bit better than some others.

The western conference is now full of pristine talent and intrigue, beginning with the defending champion Golden State Warriors who appear to have regained full health and returned to their typical dominance.

Many believe the Los Angeles Clippers to be favorites to emerge out of the west thanks to the addition of John Wall to a team already possessing Paul George and Kawhi Leonard. The Lakers also can't be counted out with a healthy LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

Conference runner-ups in the Dallas Mavericks look for Luka Doncic to continue his growth and hopefully power them to further heights. The New Orleans Pelicans took Phoenix to six games without Zion Williamson, and teams such as Denver and Memphis will continue to pose threats.

The Suns will face all of them in a daunting 82-game schedule, but NBA.com's John Schuhmann says the construction of the schedule favors Phoenix more than others.

The Suns have the least number of back-to-back games (12) and are one of six teams in the west to not play five games in a seven-day stretch. They also have 11 rest advantage games to six disadvantage games for the entire season.

When it comes to the first 20 games, Phoenix plays a leading 12 games at home and only plays two back-to-backs with no rest-disadvantage games played.

When it comes to strength of schedule, only the Clippers, Grizzlies and Timberwolves have an "easier" run of opponents (based off FanDuel W/L predictions).

At least on paper, the Suns are set to again find success in the regular season.
