Mikal Bridges Listed as Suns' Biggest Surprise Thus Far

Bleacher Report says the rise in Mikal Bridges' play has been a pleasant surprise for the Phoenix Suns thus far.

The Phoenix Suns have been full of surprises in the early portion of the regular season.

Some good. Some bad.

Bleacher Report says the biggest surprise of Phoenix's season thus far is Mikal Bridges "Going berserk" as Zach Buckley put it.

"With Jae Crowder out of the picture, and Chris Paul failing to find his shooting touch, the Suns have needed someone to step up and help Devin Booker carry the offense," said Buckley.

"Mikal Bridges has answered that call.

"While there isn't a dramatic spike in any of his stat categories, there is instead a steady increase across the board. In addition to supplying personal bests of 15.6 points and 3.1 assists, he has also hit new heights at each level of his 54.9/43.2/88.6 shooting slash. He's been a high-level support player before, but he could really sway some All-Star voters this season."

Bridges is actually second on the team in scoring and rebounds (5.2) per night. He paced the team in points with 27 of his own in a win over New Orleans. He also scored 31 points in last week's win over Minnesota.

He seems capable of doing it all.

As the season progresses, the Suns may lean on Bridges to continue to provide insane performances on both sides of the court, especially with Cam Johnson and Chris Paul dealing with injury.

He seems up to the challenge.
