Gambo: Suns Not Interested in These Two Players

Rumors are swirling around the Suns, but here's two rumors you shouldn't trust.

Breaking: If you breathe and have previously played NBA basketball, you may just have a shot at landing on the Phoenix Suns

From Kevin Durant to Damian Lillard, fans and NBA reports alike have tried their best to connect any possible dots to movement in Phoenix.

After losing the NBA Finals and spiraling out of the playoffs, some sort of change is needed within the Suns roster to propel Phoenix to their desired heights.

Whether that's re-signing Deandre Ayton or trading him elsewhere, acquiring another scorer at either guard or forward, or whatever else it might be, everyone has their suggestions as to how the Suns can go about their business.

With rumors aplenty this time of year, Arizona Sports' John Gambadoro says not to trust any rumors when it comes to Malcolm Brogdon or John Collins landing in Phoenix.

Brogdon will turn 30-years-old this December and is currently on the Indiana Pacers. He enters the last year of his deal this season making $22.6 million. He can play any guard spot and averaged 19.1 points/5.1 rebounds/5.9 assists during the 2021-22 season.

Collins is nearly 25-years-old and is under contract through the 2025-26 season, the last year being a player option. He will make $23.5 million for the 2022-23 season but will see his salary slowly increase each year. Collins is a power forward that averaged a 16.2-7.8-1.8 stat line last year with the Atlanta Hawks.

Brodgon would be a great addition, but would he be fine with sharing time off the bench? Collins is viewed as productive player as long as he consistently has the ball in his hands, but wasn't that one of the qualms of Ayton? Neither truly fit Phoenix's vision to acquire players on cap-friendly deals.

Regardless, it appears Suns fans won't have to juggle any of the questions associated with Brogdon/Collins.
