Warriors' Draymond Green Ejected vs Suns

Draymond Green went down swinging.

PHOENIX -- If you're gonna go down, go down swinging.

With 8:23 left in the third quarter, Golden State Warriors big man Draymond Green was whistled for a foul on Phoenix Suns center Jusuf Nurkic after spinning around and making physical contact.

After review, Green was assessed a technical and ejected after instant replay show he punched Nurkic.

This isn't the first (might not be the last, either) time Green has been ejected for such an act, as he's known for having a long history of these sorts of plays. Many around the NBA believe Green falls under the "dirty" category.

Green played 17 minutes before leaving. He scored two points on 1-3 shooting and had two rebounds on top of two assists.

Before the game, Suns coach Frank Vogel praised Green:

“Toughness, IQ, edge, attitude, all the above. He’s one of the best ever to do it on that side of the ball and obviously, I don’t think he gets enough credit for how he quarterbacks their offense as well. He really is a dynamic two-way player for them.”

This now marks the second consecutive player to be ejected for a Suns-Warriors meeting in Phoenix, as Chris Paul was tossed just minutes into the last contest.

The Warriors lead 70-66 in the third quarter as this is published.
