Bradley Beal OUT vs Knicks After First Quarter Injury

Phoenix Suns guard Bradley Beal landed awkwardly on his ankle against the New York Knicks.

*UPDATE: Bradley Beal has been ruled out for the rest of the game*

PHOENIX -- Phoenix Suns fans had hoped to see the team's big three of Kevin Durant, Bradley Beal and Devin Booker healthy on the court for more than one game.

After their debut against the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday, the Suns themselves had hoped to build more momentum and chemistry with their star trio together, though it didn't take long for Phoenix to suffer another injury.

With 7:28 left in the first quarter, Beal was fouled by New York Knicks player Donte DiVincenzo on a jump shot before landing down awkwardly and grabbing his lower leg.

After staying down for a few minutes, Beal was able to convert the free throw before Nassir Little checked into the game for him.

Beal walked off under his own power with Suns trainers and went directly to the locker room. He departed with six points and one assist.

After officials looked at the play, they upgraded DiVincenzo's foul to a flagrant one.

The Suns hope to get back in the win column and shake their rusty form after dropping their last five-of-seven heading into tonight.

Beal has played in just five games this season after dealing with lower back pains that date back to preseason.
