Chris Paul, NBA World Reacts to Texas Elementary School Shooting

Phoenix Suns guard Chris Paul was one of many NBA players, coaches and other figures to send their condolences to Robb Elementary in Uvalde, Texas after a mass shooting that saw 14 students and one teacher killed.

The NBA also released a statement following the shooting.
The NBA family is devastated by the horrific shooting that took place today in Uvalde, Texas. Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences go out to the victims’ family and friends, and the entire Robb Elementary School and Uvalde community.

Among the most notable people within the basketball world to make their voice heard was Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr, who has been extremely outspoken on social matters. He offered these strong, emotional words in his press conference.
Steve Kerr: “When are we going to do something? I’m so tired of coming up here offering condolences to the devastated families. I’m so tired of moments of silence. Enough.” He calls out senators to take action. “We can’t get numb to this.”

The Warriors are slated to play the Dallas Mavericks tonight in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals.
