The Phoenix Suns are sitting at 41-29 coming into the game this evening against the San Antonio Spurs.

The next two games are vital for the Suns to pick up in the pursuit of potentially securing a top-six seed in the Western Conference.

Here's how the Suns can make a jump in the standings over the coming days:

Phoenix Suns

The scenario for Phoenix is simple: win the next two games and they will at worst be the six seed by the end of the night on Monday due to the Dallas Mavericks not playing another game until Monday themselves.

The Suns would be sitting at 43-29 with 10 difficult matches remaining - but would be in strong position to secure a top-six seed with a record of around 5-5 to close out the season.

New Orleans Pelicans

The Pelicans have a gauntlet in the next week consisting of the OKC Thunder, Milwaukee Bucks, and Boston Celtics, but have a game tomorrow that should be won handily against the Detroit Pistons.

Despite the manageable game for the Pelicans, the absence of Brandon Ingram could hurt them in the coming weeks - and Phoenix can make up half a game difference by winning both games against the Spurs as well.

Sacramento Kings

The Kings are currently chasing the Suns after a detrimental loss to the Washington Wizards on Thursday night - but they have a chance to jump the Suns tonight once again.

The Kings and Orlando Magic are set to tip off around an hour from now - and a Kings win/Suns loss would be damaging in the grand scheme for the Suns going forward.

The Suns are set to face the Denver Nuggets and Thunder on the road once the pair of games in San Antonio conclude - here's to hoping they put themselves in a desirable position over the next three days.
