The Oklahoma City Thunder have signed former Baylor guard Adam Flagler, Michael Scotto of HoopsHype reported Friday morning.

Through two schools and five seasons, Flagler put together an impressive collegiate career. After averaging 15.9 points per game as a freshman at Presbyterian in 2018-19, the Duluth, GA, native transferred to Baylor, redshirting during his first year in Waco.

Once he was able to play for the Bears, the 6-foot-3 guard instantly made an impact, averaging just over nine points per game. In his redshirt senior season at Baylor, Flagler averaged 15.6 points, 4.6 assists, 2.4 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game.

The former Big South All-Freshman Team honoree's best game of the 2022-23 season came in a win against TCU, when Flagler scored a season-high 28 points. The Bears' standout went 9-of-16 from the field and 5-of-10 from beyond the arc in the victory, also notching four assists and two rebounds.

Flagler started all 32 games this season, shooting 42.6% from the field and 40% from beyond the arc. The Duluth High School alumni helped Baylor to the national championship in 2021 and was a two-time All-Big 12 selection.

At Presbyterian, Flagler was named Big South Freshman of the Year in 2019.

Despite being a fifth-year player, many scouts believed the veteran guard would be selected in the late second round. While he will have to prove himself in the Summer League, Flagler's maturity and solid shooting ability could give him a chance at making OKC's G League team if he performs well over the summer.

With the Thunder selecting Kentucky guard Cason Wallace and Kansas State wing Keyontae Johnson with their two draft picks in addition to bringing in Davis Bertans in a trade, the chance that Flagler makes his way onto Oklahoma City's NBA roster in the 2023-24 season is highly unlikely.

If the former Baylor guard succeeds with the Blue, however, there is a chance he could build his way up to an NBA career at some point down the line.
