Injury Report, Updated Odds (4/10): Oklahoma City Thunder vs. San Antonio Spurs

With the regular season winding down, the Thunder looks to secure a victory on the second night of a back-to-back.

The Oklahoma City Thunder returned to the Paycom Center just last night after a long road trip. They took on the Sacramento Kings, defeating them 112-105 in the return of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Jalen Williams. Now they host the San Antonio Spurs on the second night of a back-to-back.

The Thunder is right in the mix of the No. 1 seed race in the Western Conference, making this back-to-back that much more important. After this game, the Thunder has two more home contests before hosting a playoff series.

For the Spurs, out of the playoff race, focusing on development is their priority. More important than seeding for the Thunder is getting back to their peak form ahead of meaningful basketball.

Injury Report

Thunder:

Gordon Hayward, Questionable (Left Posterior Tibialis)

Jaylin Williams, Questionable (Back)

Lu Dort, OUT (Rest)

Ousmane Dieng, OUT (G League)

Keyontae Johnson, OUT (G League)

Olivier Sarr OUT, (G League)

Spurs:

Malaki Branham, Questionable (Hip)

Victor Wembanyama, OUT (Ankle)

Devin Vassell, OUT (Right Third Metatarsal Head)

Jeremy Sochan, OUT (Ankle)

Cedi Osman, OUT (Ankle)

Keldon Johnson, OUT (Ankle)

Dominick Barlow, OUT (Knee)

Charles Bassey, OUT (ACL)

To be frank, the Spurs are playing without their entire core of players makes it seem their focus or more geared toward a high lottery pick rather than late-season victories. They're eliminated from playoff contention and benefit nothing with a win.

For the Thunder, playing an opponent not necessarily focused on winning poses a good opportunity to rest Lu Dort and for players like Jaylin Williams and Gordon Hayward to manage injuries.

It is a bummer the league doesn't get one final viewing of Chet Holmgren and Victor Wembanyama this season.

Updated Odds

With the Spurs resting the majority of their core players, the Thunder is a 17.5-point favorite. It's a steep spread, but it certainly makes sense. There's no excuse for the Thunder to not take care of business on their home floor.
