The 2022-23 season is kicking back off, as the Oklahoma City Thunder will be in Salt Lake City to take on the Jazz. Both of these teams are still in the playoff hunt in the Western Conference, but will need a solid close to the season.

With quite a bit on the line, a strong start to the final stretch of games will be critical. This is the type of matchup that could really set the tone the rest of the way.

This matchup will feature the two betting favorites for the most improved player in the NBA. Both Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Lauri Markkanen have been a huge reasons these two teams have been surprisingly competitive this season.

The outcome of this game could certainly come down to the play of those two NBA All-Stars.

While Gilgeous-Alexander, Josh Giddey and Jalen Williams all competed in events over the weekend, the rest of the Thunder roster could be a bit rusty. Not only is this game important to build momentum the rest of the way, but coming out strong in this individual will also be key in winning.

Jazz rookie Walker Kessler could give Oklahoma City fits with his size and strength, so finding ways to neutralize his impact will be key.
