LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers came into Christmas Day seeking vengeance for its opening night loss to Kawhi Leonard and the Clippers. For a while, the Lakers transition offense paced them out to a 68-53 lead in the third quarter. However, Kawhi Leonard’s 35 points and Patrick Beverly’s tremendous second-half defense fueled a spirited Clippers comeback to stun the Lakers 111-106. Both LeBron and Anthony Davis played while battling injuries, LeBron reaggravated his groin injury in the process.
