Kevin Durant has confirmed his season is over.

The Nets Forward has not played at all during the 2019-20 season because of a ruptured right Achilles tendon suffered during the NBA Finals last June. As the season looks to resume at the end of July, Durant told ESPN “My season is over. I don’t plan on playing at all. We decided last summer when it first happened that I was just going to wait until the following season. I had no plans of playing at all this season.”

Durant went on to explain that it gives him more time to recover and be fully healthy for next season and the rest of his career.

The Nets will be one of 22 teams competing when the season resumes July 31 at ESPN's Wide World of Sports Complex in Florida.
