As the NBA looks toward resuming the season at the end of July, the league will begin testing its players and staff for COVID 19 on June 23. According to a league memo, NBA players and essential team staff will be administered both a COVID-19 test and an antibody test on June 23, and will be tested every other day until departing for Orlando, Florida, the NBA’s bubble city.

Players and traveling staff will also be tested for the coronavirus two days before their respective team leaves for the bubble city. The 22 participating teams are currently scheduled to arrive between July 7 and July 9. The memo did not clarify how players or staff will be treated should they test positive, and it remains unclear what the testing protocols will be once teams arrive in Orlando.
