Lakers Are Adding J.R. Smith For NBA Return
The Los Angeles Lakers and J.R. Smith are nearing a deal for remainder of the 2020 season.
The Lakers are reportedly finalizing a deal to sign JR Smith for the rest of the season. Smith has been out of the NBA since July 2019, when the Cavaliers waived him. The shooting guard has familiarity with Lakers star LeBron James, as the two played together for three seasons and won a Championship together with the Cavaliers in 2016. Rosters for the NBA restart must be turned in to the league office by Wednesday.
