Klay Thompson's Unexpected Response on Future With Warriors
Klay Thompson gave a somewhat angry response.
There isn't a player in the NBA right now dealing with more stress than Klay Thompson. Immediately after a brutal 0/10 display in the Play-In Tournament, Klay Thompson was asked about his future with the Warriors - he wasn't happy about it.
When Klay Thompson spoke about his future with the Golden State Warriors during his exit interview, he gave a somewhat blunt and angry response.
"We don't want to talk about the season first," Thompson angrily questioned. "We want to talk about the future? Lot of games played, man. It was a pretty big accomplishment. What's up with y'all not wanting to live in the present, bro? It's ridiculous."
Thompson's annoyance didn't stop reporters from pressing him even further about asking whether he'd return to the franchise. Once again, Thompson gave a surprising non-committal answer.
"To be honest with you, I haven't really given it much thought because of what I previously just said about the season we had and how much commitment it takes to play the games that we did, and give it our all." Thompson said. "So I haven't really thought about that deep into the future because I still need to process the year we had."
Earlier this season, Klay Thompson proclaimed that he would love to be a "Warriors for life." That level of confidence wasn't what he showed during his exit interview, but hopefully, it's just a matter of giving the 5x NBA-All star some space.
