BREAKING: New Update on Anthony Davis's Head Injury

Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis took an elbow to the head in Wednesday night's Game 5, and did not return after heading back to the locker room. There were understandable concerns from fans that Davis may have suffered a concussion, but a new report from Chris Haynes reveals that Davis appears to have avoided a concussion, and is doing much better.

This is fantastic news, as the previous reports from Haynes were not encouraging. Haynes reported during the broadcast that Davis had been wheeled out on a wheelchair, which certainly was concerning to hear. With Lakers head coach Darvin Ham giving an encouraging update on Davis after the game, and now Haynes saying that the star big man seems to have avoided a concussion, things seem to be trending in the right direction.

The Lakers certainly need Davis as they enter this crucial Game 6, but even beyond the on-court ramifications, head injures are always scary, and nobody wants to see a player suffer a concussion. With Davis seemingly in the clear on that front, he should be able to play in Game 6.

The Warriors were able to protect their home floor in Game 5, and will now travel to Los Angeles for Game 6. Should Golden State win one more, Game 7 would be back in San Francisco.
