Concerning Report on Warriors Starter Revealed

Has Golden State Warriors starter Andrew Wiggins been out of shape?

Golden State Warriors starter Andrew Wiggins missed two months last season for a personal matter that the organization and his teammates stood by him throughout. There were no reports about teammates being frustrated by his absence, and all public comments from Warriors players were in support of their teammate.

While Wiggins received no issues from his teammates or the organization about his extended absence, a new report from Kendra Andrews of ESPN reveals some within the organization have been annoyed with Wiggins' lack of physical conditioning to start this season, believing the Warriors starer did not get back into adequate shape over the summer.

"As for Wiggins, sources told ESPN that after missing two months last season over a still undisclosed personal matter, he didn't take the time necessary during the summer to get back into shape ahead of this season," Andrews wrote. "His lack of physical conditioning annoyed some within the organization, a team source added."

This is a very concerning report for the Warriors, because while Wiggins had the full support of his teammates and organization while gone from the team, the expectation was of course that he would use the offseason to regain form after understandably struggling at times during last year's playoffs.

From this report, it seems Wiggins may have not maximized his offseason the way some in the organization were hoping he would, which has reportedly led to some frustration.
