Draymond Green Slams Narrative in Heat vs. Celtics Series

Warriors forward Draymond Green slammed this narrative in Heat vs. Celtics

With the Miami Heat one win away from making an improbable run to the NBA Finals, Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green wants one particular narrative to stop. During this Eastern Conference Finals series between the Heat and Boston Celtics, much has been made of Miami's undrafted players, and the impact they've been making. While the discussion surrounding these players has been positive, Green believes the undrafted qualification is unnecessary.

"They get paid to play this game like everyone else," Green said on a recent podcast epiosde. "Whether you were drafted one or 60 or undrafted, once you get in between the lines, what are you doing between these lines? So stop with the whole undrafted thing, man. I'm sure those guys get tired of hearing that because I get tired of hearing it."

The way Green sees it, the players on the court are there for a reason, and shouldn't be analyzed by their draft position. It's an interesting conversation, because all of the coverage has been positive; however, Green still believes it's unnecessary to label these players based upon where they were drafted - or in the case of some Miami players, if they were drafted at all.

Green certainly has a point, as the talent of every player in the NBA often goes overlooked. These players are here for a reason, and Miami's team has been proving that.
