Joel Embiid and James Harden's Status for Warriors vs 76ers Revealed

The Warriors have a chance to get lucky tonight.

The Golden State Warriors need all the luck they can get when it comes to avoiding the play-in tournament. Fortunately, they may have some luck against the Philadelphia 76ers tonight.

Both Joel Embiid and James Harden are listed as questionable against the Warriors tonight. Embiid is listed as questionable with right calf tightness, and James Harden is listed as questionable with left Achilles soreness. The Philadelphia 76ers didn't play last night, so this isn't a second night of a back-to-back situation. This season, Joel Embiid is averaging 33.2 points, 10.2 rebounds, and 4.2 assists on 55/35/86 shooting; James Harden is averaging 21.4 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 10.8 assists on 44/38/87 shooting. Needless to say, it would be absolutely massive for the Golden State Warriors if these two were missing tonight.

For the Warriors, the team has a one game lead on the seventh seed, but they're also only one game behind the fourth seed. Golden State has only eight games left remaining for the season: Philadelphia 76ers, Minnesota Timberwolves, New Orleans Pelicans, San Antonio Spurs, Denver Nuggets, Oklahoma City Thunder, Sacramento Kings, and Portland Trail Blazers. Five of the games are at home, and three of them are on the road, which bodes very well for the Warriors. The games against the Timberwolves, Pelicans, and Thunder will be massive games in the western conference standings.

The Golden State Warriors and Philadelphia 76ers tipoff 7:00 pm PST on Friday night.
