Joel Embiid's Updated Status vs. Golden State Warriors Revealed

In this story:
After being a very late scratch against the Denver Nuggets, Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid missed the next game against the Portland Trail Blazers as well. Dealing with a knee injury, Embiid has missed 12 games already this season, putting his MVP eligibility in jeopardy.
The 76ers revealed their injury report for Tuesday night's game against the Golden State Warriors, and Embiid was initially listed as questionable. It was reported by ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski that Embiid was expected to go through his pregame warmup routine and make a decision on his status after that.

Upon going through this routine, Embiid has now been upgraded to available for this game against the Warriors, and will make his return to the starting lineup.
Obviously dealing with a legitimate injury, Embiid has not been missing games just for the sake of missing games. This is an unfortunate misconception that impacts several players across the league, but for Embiid it's clear that he is dealing with something legitimate. While the optics in Denver were undoubtedly bad, that was more so an issue with the 76ers failing to list Embiid on the injury report for that game.
Falling further and further back from a playoff spot with each loss, the Warriors cannot afford to drop games like this. Even with Embiid playing, the Warriors still need to find a way to come out with a victory to avoid falling even further down the standings.
