Report: Lakers Player Slams Warriors for Complaining About Refs

A Lakers player reportedly slammed Steve Kerr for complaining about refs

The free throw disparity in this Western Conference Semi-Finals series between the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors has become a story. Through five games, the Warriors have attempted 51 free throws, and the Lakers have attempted more than double that amount, at 103.

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr recently called out the Lakers for flopping, along with the officials for falling for those flops, saying, "I think we had three or four illegal screens called, and that was disappointing... The Lakers, they are a team that plays with a lot of gamesmanship, they understand how to generate some calls. I thought they took some flops and were rewarded."

In a report for NBA on TNT, insider Chris Haynes reported that a Lakers player texted him, "Let them [expletive] and complain. It shows weakness and frustration. We can't get caught up in that game. We just have to play and keep fighting."

Haynes did not reveal who that Lakers player was, but it is certainly interesting to get this report prior to Game 5. There has been a lot of discussion about the free throw disparity in this series, and it's something that has clearly frustrated the Warriors. Kerr expressed some of that frustration to the media, and a Lakers player has since shared their thoughts on those comments.
