Looking to play in half of LA's preseason games, James did not suit up for this matchup in Golden State, but he was in attendance. Sharing a viral moment with Steph Curry after the game, James joined his teammate Anthony Davis for a fun exchange with with the Warriors star.
Opponents on the court, Curry and James are good friends off the court. Fans have been speculating about what this conversation was about, with some guessing the star players were speaking about their upcoming Team USA run, and others guessing there was some fun banter about the Lakers sending Golden State home last season.
There was clearly some level of humor in whatever this conversation consisted of, as all three players shared a good laugh together. It's always fun to see NBA stars connecting in this way, especially following a low stakes preseason matchup when everyone is just looking to get their feet back under them after a long summer.
Neither the Warriors nor the Lakers finished where they hoped to last season, but it was a much better run for Los Angeles, especially factoring in expectations. Turning the page from last season, both LA and Golden State have their sights set on a title this year.
