Steph Curry's Desire For Warriors' Roster Next Season Revealed

In this story:
There has been a lot of discussion about the future of the Golden State Warriors after their second round loss to the Los Angeles Lakers. NBA champions in 2022, Golden State returned a roster that was similar to that one, but had some real holes. Those holes, combined with regression from key members of that 2022 run, led to Golden State's first playoff series loss before the NBA Finals under Steve Kerr.
As previously mentioned, this early exit has sparked a lot of discussion about Golden State's future. Should they run it back? Should they rebuild/retool? According to a recent report, Steph Curry's desire is for the Warriors to bring back their current core for at least one more season.
In a recent article, The Athletic's Tim Kawakami wrote, "I think the most likely scenario is that the Warriors keep most of this together for at least one more season. That’s what Curry wants. His opinion sort of matters."
While Golden State will certainly need some upgrades around their core, it makes sense why Curry still believes in what himself, Draymond Green, and Klay Thompson could accomplish together next season. The Warriors will ultimately need much more out of their supporting cast next season, along with more consistency from Thompson and Green, but this is still a trio that just won their fourth title in eight seasons, and is hungry for at least one more.
