Warriors Player Reveals Impact of Crucial Team Meeting

The Golden State Warriors held a team meeting that worked.

Ever since the Golden State Warriors held a team meeting before they faced the LA Clippers, they've been a different team. The energy has been better, and the team is finally winning, too.

After the Warriors defeated the Boston Celtics on Tuesday night, Jonathan Kuminga was asked about how the young players on the team had their mentality change from the team meeting.

"I mean obviously, we have a great team," Kuminga said. "We've got a lot of Hall of Famers on the team. They're not here to lose a game, they're not here to have a rebuilding or anything like that. So obviously, they have that confidence every day they come to work, they're not coming to lose the game, they're coming to win a game. Me, and the rest of the young guys, we've just got to adapt to a point where we don't need to be losing every time. It becomes something where it brings confidence to everybody and motivation to come every day to work, and making sure we get some wins."

One of the important things to note about that team meeting was the fact that it catalyzed Andrew Wiggins going to the bench in favor of younger players stepping up. The end result was a 3-1 record with wins against the Portland Trail Blazers, Brooklyn Nets, and Boston Celtics.

Needless to say, it definitely looks like the young guys are the keys to success for the Warriors.
