BREAKING: Draymond Green Makes Free Agency Decision

In this story:
It was reported by Shams Charania of The Athletic that Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green will be signing a four-year / $100M contract to remain with the Golden State Warriors. In his Tweet right as free agency opened, Charania reported the news, adding that Green has a player option for the fourth year of the deal.
It has long been expected that Green would re-sign with the Warriors, and that has now been confirmed. The longtime Warriors defensive anchor will have an opportunity to continue competing for championships alongside Steph Curry and Klay Thompson.
The Warriors get reduced annual value on this deal, but Green gets the longterm security while also having the opportunity to opt out after the third year and become a free agent again. The Warriors are expected to make more moves in both free agency and the trade market to pursue their fifth title with this core. Having fallen short last season, the Warriors are determined to get back on top, and this re-signing of Green is their first step towards that goal.
Green has been vocal about wanting to finish his career with the Golden State Warriors, alongside Steph Curry and Klay Thompson. This deal should give him an opportunity to do that if he chooses to. This has been a special run from the Warriors, but everybody involved believes it can continue.
