BREAKING: Golden State Warriors Fill Open Roster Spot

In this story:
With two open roster spots, the Golden State Warriors will reportedly fill one of them by converting Lester Quinones to a standard contract. The following was announced by ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski on Tuesday evening:
"The Golden State Warriors plan to convert two-way guard Lester Quiñones to a standard NBA contract, Mike Miller and Derek Malloy of [LIFT Sports Management] tell ESPN. Quinones — who has averaged 4.8 points for Warriors this season — was the 2023 Most Improved Player in the G League."
This was one of the more likely moves for Golden State to make with one of their two open roster spots, as Quinones has emerged as a solid piece off their bench. Improving internally is going to be one of Golden State's most important focuses in the second half, since they did not make a trade deadline move to bring in another player.
The Cory Joseph trade freed up an additional roster spot, so the Warriors can still bring in one more player even after converting Quinones into a standard contract. They now have another two-way slot available as well, with Quinones going from a two way deal to a standard deal.
What the Warriors choose to do with their final roster spot will be interesting, as the 15th roster spot remains vacant after Quinones secured the 14th.
