Steph Curry vs. Magic Johnson has been the debate of the offseason since the Golden State Warriors star declared himself the best point guard ever during an episode of Gil's Arena. Recently weighing in on the debate, Warriors forward Draymond Green revealed who he's going with.

"What Steph Curry has done to the game of basketball, which I think is an even bigger compliment than what you've done for the game. What he's done to the game of basketball, like how can he not be?... It's very easy one for me. I gotta roll with the dawg that I rolled in with, and that's Steph Curry."

While people will not only find Green's opinion controversial, his reasoning may be questioned as well. The conversation about Curry's impact on the game of basketball is one that is always contentious, because while some feel it should factor into his positioning on all-time lists, others feel the debate should only include accolades.

Individual and team accomplishments are of course important when forming all-time lists, but not considering Curry's impact on basketball would be ignoring one of the biggest influences in NBA history. This is why Green's argument is a fair one, even if it's controversial amongst those who prefer to just compare numbers and accolades.

For Steph Curry, not only do his accolades bolster his case, but his impact on basketball does as well.
