Draymond Green Reveals Joel Embiid's Extra Motivation vs Warriors

In this story:
Somehow, someway, the Golden State Warriors survived a tremendous 46-point performance by Joel Embiid on Friday night. It turns out, Embiid's epic performance wasn't a coincidence, and there was something personal involved.
After the Warriors defeated the 76ers, Draymond Green revealed why Joel Embiid had extra motivation against Golden State.
"He told me, he said, 'do you know why I played like that tonight? You said Jokic was the hardest person to guard in the league. So, I took that personal.' So I'm gonna tell you about how Joel is the hardest guy to guard in the league."
Even though Joel Embiid had 46 points on 57% shooting, the Warriors found some success at small points in the game slowing him down. Their defense consisted of trying to throw as many different looks as possible at Joel Embiid.
"You know, you just don't wanna give a steady diet. In that fourth quarter we just tried to throw different looks at him," Green said. "We fired a couple times, we sent double teams from the top of the floor, we sent double teams from the bottom of the floor, he caught the ball at the three-point line one time and we sent a double team. Coach kind of gave us the free will."
There are certain NBA players that get more fired up when they hear bulletin board trash talk, and it seems very clear, Joel Embiid is that guy.
