Draymond Green's Contract Desire Revealed

In this story:
Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green has opted out of his contract, and will hit unrestricted free agency this summer. Green is widely expected to re-sign with the Warriors, and his recent contract desire was revealed in a report from Jason Dumas of KRON4 News, who said on Twitter that Green wants his new contract to align in length with Steph Curry's.
This desire makes sense, as Green wants to ensure that he and Curry are tied together. Both players make each other better, and have won four titles since 2015. While Green has declined a lot since then, specifically offensively, he is still incredibly important to what the Warriors do.
While there could be other teams willing to pay Green in free agency, his desire to remain with the Warriors is expected to outweigh any offers he gets elsewhere. Golden State still feels as if their championship window is open, and re-signing Green is a major priority for them.
Paying Green through 2026, which is when Curry's contract expires, would keep the Warriors in win-now mode for at least three more seasons. While they may attempt to continue their two-timeline plan amidst this goal to also compete for championships, Golden State re-signing Green to a three year deal would absolutely solidify their intention to push for more titles in Curry's final prime years.
