In this story:
Searching for their best starting lineup combination seemingly all season, the Golden State Warriors are making another lineup change on Friday night vs. the Chicago Bulls. Both Looney and Wiggins have been in and out of the starting lineup quite a bit this season, and Steve Kerr is going with the two veterans for this game. While the Warriors are of course without Draymond Green, his absence is not the primary reason their starting lineup has been so inconsistent. Up and down play from previously reliable players has been the driving force of all these changes, and that has continued all year.
The Warriors are expected to make moves at the trade deadline, but they need to turn their season around before then. Currently outside of the play-in picture, the Warriors have no margin for error right now. Each loss puts them further from their goal of being a serious title contender, which is something the Warriors expect to be every single season their core is healthy.
Starting lineups have also been matchup specific for coach Kerr, and his lineup vs. the Bulls on Friday will feature Curry, Thompson, Wiggins, Saric, and Looney as the Warriors look to get back on track.
