Klay Thompson Reacts to Warriors vs. Kings Series

In this story:
It is official, the Golden State Warriors will open up the first round of the NBA playoffs against the Sacramento Kings. Securing the 6th seed with their win on Sunday afternoon, the Warriors clinched a date with Sacramento in round one. The Warriors will open up on the road, as they do not have home court advantage; however, there will be more than enough Warriors fans in attendance for those first two road games.
When asked about this series after the game, Warriors guard Klay Thompson said, "Oh, that's who we're playing? Oh, cool. That's gonna be fun, man. First time in NBA history. It's gonna be really special. And I know the Kings fans are gonna be really excited, they haven't been to the playoffs in a while, so it'll be very exciting. That's just great. I mean, great for the NBA, great for Northern California, and it's great for us, we don't have to travel too far. Which is very nice, because sometimes flying across the country every other day is exhausting."
All things considered, things played out pretty nicely for Golden State. With such an up and down season following their championship last year, the Warriors have to feel pretty good about this first round series against the Kings. As previously mentioned, they will have plenty of their own fans in attendance for those road games, which should help a Warriors team that has struggled mightily on the road all season.
