Milwaukee Bucks Considering Warriors Coach for Head Coaching Position

In this story:
ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported on Monday that Golden State Warriors associate head coach Kenny Atkinson had made the list of finalists for the Milwaukee Bucks head coaching job.
"The Milwaukee Bucks have narrowed the group of top candidates in the franchise's coaching search and plan on meeting with ex-Toronto coach Nick Nurse, Golden State Warriors associate head coach Kenny Atkinson and Raptors assistant Adrian Griffin this week, sources told ESPN on Monday," Wojnarowski wrote.
On Atkinson, Wojnarowski added, "Atkinson accepted the Hornets' head-coaching job last spring before changing his mind and remaining with the Warriors for a second season. He spent a year on the Clippers' coaching staff after parting ways with the Brooklyn Nets in the 2019-20 season. Atkinson was 118-190 in the three-plus years with the Nets, including going 42-40 record and reaching the playoffs in the 2018-19 season."
The Warriors have seen several of their former assistant coaches take head coaching positions in the league, including Mike Brown who just won Coach of the Year with the Sacramento Kings. Atkinson has prior head coaching experience, and would be a great signing for the Milwaukee Bucks if they choose to go with him.
For the Warriors, while they would love to keep their coaching staff intact, it is a testament to their organization that they often have head coaching candidates on their bench alongside Steve Kerr.
