NBA Legend Unleashes Disrespectful Steph Curry Take

In this story:
During a recent appearance on the Bill Simmons podcast, NBA legend Charles Barkley shared a disrespectful Steph Curry take, suggesting the Golden State Warriors star couldn't have handled the Bad Boy Pistons.
"Can you imagine if the Bad Boys were beating the hell out of him," Barkley said of Curry. "Bill, can you imagine that? As much as I love Steph Curry, if you think that he could take those blows that John Salley, Dennis Rodman, Bill Laimbeer, those body checks that they were putting on Michael [Jordan] and Scottie [Pippen] and myself and guys like that, you really think Steph Curry wouldn't break?"

While Barkley said he loves Curry, this was a very disrespectful take. While those Pistons teams were more physical than what takes place in the NBA today, there is nothing that suggests Curry would be unable the thrive in that setting. Constantly grabbed, held, and bumped off the ball, Curry has put on several pounds of muscle to help sustain the physical defense he faces every single night. If there's anybody in today's NBA who could handle the physicality of that era, it's Curry.
Also the best free throw shooter in NBA history, Curry may even benefit from more blatant physicality against him, as it would almost certainly result in more trips to the free throw line for the game's best shooter.
