After spending the last several weeks out of town to deal with a family matter, Golden State Warriors forward Andrew Wiggins is reportedly back in the Bay Area. This Report came from Jason Dumas of KRON4 news on Friday afternoon, and it comes not long after Warriors head coach Steve Kerr revealed that Wiggins has been participating in individual basketball workouts during his absence.

While none of this confirms whether or not Wiggins will indeed return to the Warriors this season, it does seem to indicate that a return is still a possibility. Had Wiggins remained away from the Bay Area and away from basketball entirely, a return would be next to impossible. The fact that he has been staying in shape and has recently returned to the area, does give some reason for optimism about the possibility of a return.

While the Warriors have done well to climb back out of the play-in picture, many rightfully feel that their championship hopes will depend on whether or not Wiggins returns. The versatile forward is not only another top threat offensively, but he often takes the defensive assignment of guarding the opposing team's best player. Wiggins has a skillset that cannot be replicated by anybody else on the Warriors roster, which is why the team desperately needs him to return in time for the playoffs.

As badly as the Warriors would like to have Wiggins back, they also want him to do what is best for him and his family, and are not placing any pressure on him to return.
