Steph Curry Gets Honest About Jordan Poole's Future With Warriors

While some people believe Jordan Poole may be on the trading block, Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry sees him as the bridge from one era to the next.

Speaking with The Ringer’s Logan Murdock, Curry was asked how Golden State can bridge the gap from this current era to what is an uncertain future. His answer: Jordan Poole.

"Following the game, I asked Curry how the Warriors could bridge the gap between the dynastic present and an unknown future," Murdock wrote. "Curry paused, then glanced to his left, toward Poole's locker, and pointed. 'He's the key,' Curry said, for all to hear, before exiting the room."

It was a great piece of reporting from Murdock, who got an honest answer from Curry on the future of Poole and the Warriors. While so much noise has surrounded the possibility of Golden State dealing the young guard, their franchise superstar sees Poole as not only a big piece to Golden State's future, but the key piece.

This response from Curry is another example of his leadership that always rises above whatever outside noise may be attempting to deter the team. It was a disappointing ending for Golden State this postseason, and even more disappointing postseason for Poole, but Curry is standing by his young teammate as he battles through the growing pains of becoming who the Warriors need him to be.
