Steph Curry Reveals Why He Didn't Shoot in 4th Quarter

For the first time in his career, Steph Curry played an entire 4th quarter without attempting a single shot. This was exactly what the Dallas Mavericks hoped for when deploying their aggressive trap against Steph, who had 21 points on 8/15 from the field and 4/5 from deep through three quarters.

Steph Curry recognized this, and said postgame that "Obviously I didn't get a shot in the 4th, they were trapping all over the place, so I've gotta figure out something different on that front." This trap from Dallas was much like what Curry saw all of last season with Klay Thompson sidelined. "They resorted to doubling at half-court," Curry said.

While Dallas was able to take Steph Curry's scoring out of the game down the stretch, Steph said that wasn't the ultimate reason they lost the game. His frustration with the team's defense has been prevalent for weeks now, and was once again emphasized after this loss to the Dallas Mavericks.

With the Mavericks opting to deploy the "Anybody but Steph" defense, the Warriors needed more from Klay Thompson. Shooting just 6/17 from the field and 2/8 from deep, Klay was unable to punish Dallas for overplaying Curry. This is something he also recognized, and vowed to be better during his postgame interview.

The Warriors will look to get back on track against the Lakers on Saturday.
