Victor Wembanyama's Status vs. Warriors Revealed

The Golden State Warriors and San Antonio Spurs are facing off in their respective preseason finales on Friday night, and the Spurs are expected to have all of their regulars available, including Victor Wembanyama. Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich told reporters before the game that he would be starting the same lineup he started on Wednesday, per Tom Orsborn of San Antonio Express-News.

It's never certain if star players are going to suit up for any given preseason game, but this one will at least begin with both team sending out their regulars. The Warriors are starting Steph Curry, Chris Paul, Klay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins, and Kevon Looney, while the Spurs will be starting Victor Wembanyama and the rest of their usual lineup.

This is a very exciting preseason matchup, because Curry is arguably the most exciting player in the league, and Wembanyama is must-see television every time he steps on the court as well. It doesn't seem likely that either team plays their starters a usual load of minutes in this game, but the first half should provide several highlights from both sides.

With one last preseason game before the real games begin, the Warriors and Spurs want to use this game to build good habits, but most importantly they want to come out of this game fully healthy.
