Warriors Announce Roster Move Before Game vs. Kings

Prior to Tuesday night's game against the Sacramento Kings, the Golden State Warriors announced that both Gui Santos and Trayce Jackson-Davis had been recalled from the Santa Cruz Warriors. These two players have gone up and down from the NBA to the G-League quite a bit this season, as the Warriors want both players to get consistent reps at the G-League level while also being available depth pieces at the NBA level.

Jackson-Davis has contributed more at the NBA level than Santos has, but he is still not playing heavy minutes for the Warriors, which is why the organization wants him to continue his development in the G-League. That said, the Warriors have done a good job at finding opportunities to get both players back with the NBA team when it makes the most sense to do so.

This game against the Kings will likely not present many opportunities for Golden State's young players, but injuries and foul trouble can always change the situation, which is why Golden State wants to make sure they are as deep as possible. As previously mentioned, this is something the Warriors have done since the G-League season began, and something they will likely continue to do throughout the course of the year.

The Warriors value their young players, which is why they want to continue developing them while also having them available at the NBA level when possible.
